Just got back from the 2024 New York Japan CineFest screening of “Wandering Memories,” a Japanese independent short film directed by the talented Yuta Noguchi and featuring a beautiful score by composer Taichi Yamada. I feel deeply honored to have been invited to play piano and arrange for the soundtrack—it was truly unforgettable to see this powerful project come to life on screen. Immense gratitude to Taichi for his incredible support and guidance along the way, and it was a pleasure meeting producer Ken Ochiai, as well. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the film has premiered at festivals worldwide, receiving incredible recognition: Best Foreign Short at the Arizona International Film Festival in April 2024, the Jury Prize at the USA Film Festival in May 2024, and the Gold Remi Award at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival. So grateful to be a part of this project!
